Policy proposal: Cannabis should be decriminalized, not exclusively for medical usage, but for the recreational consumption by all American adults 21 years of age and older. The right of independent adult citizens to responsibly consume relatively equivalent narcotics, whether alcohol or cannabis, should be equally protected in a society respecting individual free choice and equality under the law. All of the various consumption regulations applied to alcohol, including taxes, driving restrictions while under the influence, and others, should be likewise applied to cannabis to ensure its socially appropriate consumption.
Federal Constitutional Amendment Proposal: Section 1. The federal regulation of cannabis under the Controlled Substances Act is hereby repealed. Section 2. The transportation or importation of cannabis into any State, Territory, or possession of the United States for delivery or use there, in violation of the laws thereof, is hereby prohibited.
